The flight covers a total distance of 1367 km within 2 hours and 10 minutes while travelling Chennai Airport to Bir Savarkar Airport, which will reduce your time to a relatively.
By Ship: Apart from flights, ships are another way to reach the Andamans. Although it takes a lot of time but the scenic beauty of the ship is amazing when it flows over the blue water. It takes about 2-3 days for the ship to reach from Chennai port. Upon arrival the ship stops in the Andamans for 4 days and you can slowly return to the same ship if you plan properly.
Itinerary according to Chennai Flight Timings:
Day- 1 Port Blair
- You will reach at the Bir Savarkar Airport.
- Then you will be taken to the hotel from the airport by the hotel’s car where you can relax for a sometime.
- After lunch, you will be picked up from the hotel for sightseeing.
- Fist you will visit Cellular Jail where you can gather some information about the Indian freedom movement and why Cellular Jail was famous on that time?
